Jay picked up some OEM lithium-ion batteries and decided to replace it himself. In the end Jay only ended up saving $50 or $60 bucks replacing the batteries himself compared to the official batteries, but this is one hell of a story for a grandkids, right? But those are nothing compared to some of the items that have made their way onto eBay's digital auction block.

Here are ten of the weirdest things ever to appear on eBay. To qualify for this list, the item or items must have received at least one bid, proving the point that no matter what you have to sell, somewhere there is a buyer for it.

10. Item #191367029: The Internet

If people can sell plots of land on the moon, then why can't someone sell the Internet? Someone did just that, for the bargain asking price of $1 million. Of course, it was all just a gag and it's unlikely that this Pay Pal transaction ever went through. But still, it would have been the deal of the century-the buyer was even throwing in free Internet access.

9. Item #277481422: UFO Detector

A prototype manufactured by a Brazilian company, this modified magnetometer is supposed to pick up UFO activity and was proven to work when red and orange balls of light appeared in the skies over Sao Paulo. Unfortunately, it wasn't 100% guaranteed due to the fact that "the propulsion systems of UFOs are not the same." Why would the seller want to part with such a unique item? It's okay-he had two. Final sale price: $135.03.

8. Item #248619068: The Meaning of Life

Someone finally figured it out, and they put it up for sale on eBay. Even with eight bids this incredible find didn't fetch much, but it was probably the best $3.26 the winning bidder ever spent.

This one-of-a-kind item was once offered by a Russian company for $2 million, but was posted on eBay for "a fraction of that." It's not known how much they wanted for the scaled-down Bor-5 VKK spacecraft, because the reserve price was never reached. Bidding topped out at $25,200, but perhaps it was the $5,000 shipping price that scared off potential buyers.

The stylish vampire hunter would love this late 1800s European "vampire killing kit," which included a crossbow with four silver-tipped arrows, an ebony wood stake, a large bottle of holy water and various surgical instruments, among other things. 5. Item #289158639: Real Shrunken Head

Straight from the Jivaro Indian tribe in the jungles of Ecuador to the world's largest electronic marketplace, a total of 26 shrunken heads were put up for sale. Only 7 people bid on them, with the top bidder paying just under $25. It is assumed that he or she got first choice of the heads, which ranged in color from dark brown to gray.

4. Item #2931457201: Ghost In a Jar

As the story goes, the seller of this item found a rotted wooden box while metal detecting. Inside were two glass jars and a journal. One of the jars was accidentally dropped, causing a black mist of some sort to be released. The other jar and the journal were taken home, and the seller proceeded to be haunted by something he could only describe as "The Black Thing."

Wishing to pass the jar (and the ghost) on to someone else, he put the still unopened jar on eBay, insisting that only serious bidders would be considered. People must have loved the story, because there were well over 60 bids placed.

Unfortunately, not all of them were serious, because the selling price topped $90 million. No word as to who finally wound up with the jar, or if they too had supernatural visitors. Since this auction, there have been many, many more "ghost in a jar" items posted on eBay.

2. Item #127658711: Serial Killer's Fingernails

In 1979, Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris cruised southern California on a killing spree that resulted in at least five victims. And now, the fingernails of Roy Norris have been sold on eBay for only $9.99.

Taped to the back of a Christmas card, they were accompanied by a penned note from Norris himself, signed and topped off with the serial killer's black thumbprint.

1. Item number not known: "Stricken Life" Painting

A rather macabre-looking self-portrait of a man known only as "Harold," this painting is believed to be haunted. The artist was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in early 2001. Knowing that he could no longer care for his Multiple Sclerosis-stricken wife, he put a double-barrel shotgun against her head while she was sleeping and squeezed the trigger.

He then went into the den and put the shotgun in his own mouth. The house where the murder-suicide took place was eventually sold, and the new owners found the painting. Strange things started happening, such as the family dog sitting in front of the painting and howling, so Harold had to go -- on eBay, of course.

Which File Sharing program are you using?

For me, I'm using ARES. Thinking back I first started using Kazaa. It was like the greatest at that time. But that was few years back. Now it seem so useless. I tried downloading some stuff through it a few days back and whoa! The viruses just can't stop flowing into my computer.

I've tried using many other more File Sharing programs like BitTorrent, Limewire and so on. And until now none of them seem to be faster than ARES. I don't know what about you guys but I'm facing that problem. So far, ARES haven't seem to disapoint me yet. Hopefully it won't =)

Have you ever thought of getting a Pocket PC Mobile Phone? Its kinda common these days although it is expensive. Features in a Pocket PC phone are quite good as well. For example a standard Pocket PC phone will have WiFi, Mobile OS, Camera, Bluetooth, Infrared, and all the other basic stuff that a phone has.

The price for a standard one should be at the range of RM1500 - RM2500. NOt that cheap eh? But if you're rich then that kinda price is nothing to you la.

I visited the newly open DIGITAL MALL at SECTION 14 today. Its still very new. So not many shops opened yet. But the price for the items there are not too expensive. Quite reasonable. Do dropby there if you have time to spare. Its at the old Metrojaya building.

Nokia vs Sony Ericsson

I decided to write up a post on mobile phones after getting inspired by a commentor.

No doubt that both brands are good. But we'll see the pros and cons of both the brands alright?

WEIGHT

In general, Nokia phones are usually more bulky than SE phones. I've had both Nokia and SE phones before so I'm sure with what I've said. SE phones are can be much smaller and lighter in weight. So it is easier for us to bring it around. A point for SE!

DESIGN

Both brands have their own unique design. Nokia has a series of different designs. For example the N-Series. The N-Series models are a little different from the other Nokia phone models. Every series has a special theme.

SE always have some similarity in all their models. Kinda dull huh? And the outer shell breaks very easily. While Nokia phones are tougher. I've experience it before. Which brand gets the point? YOU decide!

FUNCTIONS

No doubt that Nokia has always been top in this. But SE is also catching up! Beware NOKIA! Even a very cheap model of a SE phone has all sorts of functions in it. But it may not be quality. Nokia has always been top in functions so I shall rest my case.

There are many more stuff to talk about. But I shall stop here before other mobile phone fans start screaming at me! hahah. Remember this is all my point of view. I would like to know yours as well. =)

Creative Zen Micro vs. Apple iPod Mini

Creative Labs wants its Zen Micro player to be the PlaysForSure compatible alternative to the iPod Mini. The Zen Micro comes in numerous color choices, it's smaller than the iPod Mini, the battery offers 12 hours of playback and easily swaps out with a spare. Built-in microphone and FM radio features mean no pricey upgrades to add to the cost of the unit. With 4GB, 5GB and 6GB sizes all priced competitively with the iPod Mini, it would seem the Zen Micro is a better alternative. After living with my Zen Micro since November, progressing through 3 firmware updates to the one released just after the Super Bowl, I've got some strong opinions about the good and bad points of owning a Zen Micro.

At first blush any flavor of Zen Micro looks like a winner over the iPod Mini in the features department. Both come in multiple drive sizes at comparable price points. The iPod Mini is available in a 4GB version for $199 or 6GB for $249. The Creative Zen Micro has three sizes: 4GB for $199, 5GB for $229 and 6GB for $249. The 5GB model was the original Micro and now looks strangely positioned between the two other models. Who wouldn't spend the extra $20 for 20% more space? Obviously Creative introduced the 4GB and 6GB models to make it easier for buyers to compare these two products more directly.

Remove Ads on Windows Live Messenger

Do you know that we can now remove ads at the bottom of our Windows Live Messenger? Wait, do you even notice the ads at the bottom?

Someone had created a software know as A-PATCH for Windows Live Messenger.

Ok here is how you work this.
1) Download the software and run it.
2)When the file has loaded choose Patch Messenger and click NEXT.

3) Keep clicking next till you see REMOVE ADVERTISMENT.

4)Click next again until you see another REMOVE ADVERTISMENT.

5) Finally, click apply when you're done!

Oh yeah, you can do much more with this software. Go figure it out yourself! haha and its FREE! ENJOY!

Nikon D80

No surprises here, Nikon has merely added a few curves and changed a few lines of their D70/D70s camera bodies, but images of a D80 camera have surfaced, and we thought it'd be nice to share. There are just 14 days left on Nikon's little teaser countdown before we can know what else this 10.2 megapixel DSLR will have in store for us, but it's looking fine from where we're sitting. My point of view

This is indeed a good camera. But I still prefer the Sony Alpha DSLR-A100. Although the specs ain't as good as the NIkon D80 but I think it will last longer. I somehow only have confidence in Sony products. haha
